Feeling overwhelmed by boxes, bikes, and that suspiciously large bean bag chair? Don’t worry — we’ve got you covered. Choosing the right storage unit shouldn’t require a degree in Tetris or the ability to stack furniture like a circus performer. Here’s our no-stress, guide to finding your just-right storage space:
Step 1 Take inventory:
Start by listing everything you plan to store, group items into categories.
Furniture (Beds, Couches, and dressers)
Boxes (labeled by contents)
Appliances
Seasonal items (holiday decor, sports equipment)
miscellaneous (bikes, tools, etc)
This list will help you estimate how much space you need.
Step 2- Know the storage unit sizes.

Step 3 Packing:
Think about how you’ll pack, it will affect the size unit you’ll need!
You can go smaller by stacking boxes. Using the same size boxes will make it easier to stack them on top of each other.
Do you have fragile items or furniture you don’t want stacked? You may want to go bigger.
Creating an aisle in your unit will also help with organizing so keep that in mind when choosing a unit size.
